Where to stay in Bali? It’s probably the first question that pops to mind once you’ve booked your flight to Bali. When I headed to the Indonesian island in 2015 I spent a lot of time researching where to stay in Bali. To save you some time here’s my best place to stay in Bali recommendation for 2016.
Best place to stay in Bali 1:Uluwatu
Uluwatu was the last place I visited while I was in Bali for a month. It was also by far the best place to stay in Bali! Uluwatu is incredibly green, has a lot of beautiful beaches and really good local restaurants. If you’re going to stay in Uluwatu while you’re in Bali make sure to rent a motor bike. 3D Homestay was by far the best value for money I have experienced in Bali. If you’re looking for a best place to stay in Bali Uluwatu really has it all.
Best place to stay in Bali 2: Sanur
Looking for peace and quiet with amazing local food? Then Sanur is a really good place to stay in Bali. The beach is okish to be fair and the town is definitely not tourism traps free. However the night food market in Sanur is still something I dream of. The locals eat here too and they have amazing authentic Indonesian dishes. Make sure to try the martabak (Sweet AND savoury version. Because why choose?). Sanur was my first great experience with Bali and I stayed at Di Kubu Homestay.
Best place to stay in Bali 3: Canggu
Canggu is one of the more adventurous places to stay in Bali. Make sure to take at least one surf class in Canggu. It’s awesome dude and it’s a great workout! I was there in February, which is off season for surfing, but still managed to have tons of fun trying to surf. The place is not that big but they still have good local food in the restaurants. I stayed in Frii Bali Echo Beach. It was really the best place to stay in Bali if you are looking for some luxury for a really good price.
Hope this list saves you time finding a best place to stay in Bali. Please let me know if you have any other recommendations in the comments. I’m for sure going back to Bali and can always use recommendations on where to stay in Bali.
